- Caterpillars and butterflies are very different. Do you know how a caterpillar changes in to a butterfly? (Allow the students to answer.)
- A caterpillar goes through metamorphosis, which is when its body changes. Caterpillars form a chrysalis and while they are inside it, their bodies change to become a butterfly.
