Lesson Plan
Explain to students that they will assume a variety of roles as employees of a local newspaper as they complete The Immigration Today WebQuest. Then organize students into groups of five, and assign each student a role: news editor, features editor, statistician, political correspondent, or photojournalist. Have students examine the various aspects of immigration from their assigned perspective, compile their findings in multimedia presentations, and collaborate to write opinion pieces for the editorial page of the newspaper.
Assessment
