    Students who cannot access the Web can research print resources about the immigrant experience and write a diary entry based on their research.

    Lesson Plan

    Invite students to take a virtual immigrant voyage and then write diary entries about their trip.

    Assessment

    Evaluate students on the accuracy of the information in their diaries and on their adherence to national or district writing standards.
