Miss Kindergarten offers these cute booklets fashioned to look like a pencil. Not only can you get to know your students while making them, but the students will have a blast filling them out.

Name Maps
From Babbling Abby, this activity has students create fun Name Maps that identify things that are important to them. Between the creation, drawing, coloring and writing, this craft would be great for a class get-to-know-you bulletin board.

Inside My Head
Milk and Cookies suggests this fun activity, where students select images from magazines, cut them out and past them onto a “head” to create a collage of their thoughts. It’s a great way to break the ice and get students to open up right off the bat.
