Brief Description

Students practice spelling with this fun game in which students move closer to the soccer goal with each correctly spelled word.

Objectives

Students will
  • use a special soccer game board (provided) as they play this game of spelling skill.
  • play a game with a partner.
  • move toward the goal as they spell words correctly.

Lesson Plan

In this lesson, students move closer to the soccer goal with each correctly spelled word. The lesson comes with a special soccer field game sheet. This game could be adapted for use in a foreign language classroom.

Assessment

Students will pass their weekly spelling test with a score of 80 percent or higher.
