Lesson Plan
Ask students to investigate print and online resources to learn about the history of immigration legislation. Then have students create a time line of the most important legislation or changes in legislation. For each piece of legislation included on the time line, have students list the most important points in the legislation and indicate the legal, social, and/or economic factors that might have led to the legislation.
Assessment
Evaluate students on the accuracy of the information in their time lines.
