What or who inspired you to become a teacher?
All my teachers starting from school days inspired me. Seeing them, I used to do role plays at home being a teacher and asking my friends to be students. Teaching was always my passion--when I used to enter in my class my objective used to be only children and purposeful activities.
How are things different for you now, compared to when you first started teaching?
When I started teaching I was proactive, but now I am a thoughtful teacher who caters to holistic development.
What advice would you give to a new or struggling teacher?
Be proactive and passionate toward your work. Maintain zeal always. Be thorough with your theory. Be creative.
My best day in the classroom was when…
Each day is a best day with my children...when children tell you what to do and how to do it, it shows that they have understood you very well.
The best compliment I ever received was...
Student: " I missed you yesterday...why were you absent?" It's a compliment for a teacher when children miss your presence.
Parent: "My child is in safe hands; I trust you."
What's your favorite part of the school year?
Story time.
What is your one must-have item for the classroom?
Confidence.
What do you eat for breakfast on school days?
Veggie sandwich and green tea.
What movie or TV show do you secretly love?
I don't watch TV.
