Site Review: GradePayments

Site URL:  www.gradepayments.com

Content:  GradePayments' mission is rewarding students for their school achievement. The site connects students with sponsors through email or social media such as Twitter and Facebook. Family members, friends or local businesses can fall under this category. Students can submit their transcripts at the end of the term, and they will receive the funds each sponsor pledged. There are no start-up costs or membership fees.

www.gradepayments.comDesign:  GradePayments' homepage seems geared toward a younger crowd, but students in K-12 and even college can use the site. It's easy to navigate, and the design isn't too busy.

Review:  GradePayments.com seems like a great tool to help students keep track of their grades and stay motivated. Teachers also can use this site in the classroom--each student can make his/her own profile, seek sponsors and receive pledges. At the end of the year, students can write about or present their experiences. The fact that there is no start-up cost or membership fee is also a plus.

Bottom Line:  GradePayments.com is a fun, interactive way for students to stay motivated and receive encouragement to do well in school.
