Lunchroom Issues

  • Brainstorm with students what they can do to improve the situation. Elicit their suggestions for solutions to the problems that have been brought to your attention. Students will be more likely to cooperate if they have some say in the solution and have committed themselves to implementing it.
  • Ask for a show of hands -- or, better yet, a written statement -- from students who agree to follow the plan.
