When you create your seating chart, use small sticky notes with students' names on them. That way, you arent stuck with straight rows; you can organize the sticky notes in any arrangement. They're easy to move if you want to rearrange the class -- or move a single student. You might make your own seating chart by placing the sticky notes on a sheet of white cardboard and using a sheet of transparency film to cover and protect the sticky notes. Want to organize desks in groups of four? In a circular arrangement? Any seating plan is possible. Just lift up the film and move the sticky notes.
