Save grading time by giving a weekly quiz that doubles as a homework grade. On a designated day each week, give your students a quiz as they enter your classroom. The quiz should cover material from the day before and include topics addressed in the homework.
When complete, collect the quizzes and review the questions as an introduction to the day's lesson. Grade the quizzes and award a homework score based on each student's performance on the quiz. You may choose to allow students to refer to their notes and/or homework during the quiz.
