App Name: Math Bingo
Cost: 99 cents
What does it promise? A fun way to teach basic math principles to elementary-level students.
Does it deliver? Yes. The object of Math Bingo is to get a pattern of five Bingo Bugs in a row by correctly answering math problems. Those problems are presented at the top of the game screen, while feedback is presented at the bottom.
A nice feature is the profile option. Math Bingo saves player information with custom player profiles. Each player profile consists of a unique name and a fun cartoon avatar. The player profiles display total number of games played, total number of high scores achieved, and total number of Bingo Bugs collected. Players can play without creating a profile, although their progress will not be saved if they choose this option.
Can I use it in my classroom? This is a great app to supplement regular math lessons.
