Each of the 51 printable Mystery State work sheets presents five clues to the identity of one of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.). Students use the clues to help them identify that place.
Clue 1: The first baseball stadium was built in this state in 1909.
Clue 2: This state is the only one of the 13 original colonies not bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.
Clue 3: A town in this state is considered the Chocolate Capital of the United States.
Clue 4: Punxsutawney Phil, a famous groundhog who checks for his shadow every Groundhog Day, lives in this state.
Clue 5: The Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia in this state in 1776.
