Note of additional intereset: We received a message from a reader who wanted us to know that badminton, not jai alai, is the world's fastest sport: "Badminton is the fastest sport in the world with shuttles reaching speeds of up to 332 kilometers per hour (206 miles per hour). Fu Haifeng of China set the unofficial record July 3, 2005."
