Lesson Plan

In It's My Right, which is available online, students read a story about a man's experience during World War II, written by his grandson; review the Bill of Rights; and enact a courtroom drama in which Hitler and his beliefs are on trial. As an extension to the activity, encourage students to interview and write about a family member's experiences during World War II.

Assessment

Evaluate students on the accuracy of their characters throughout trial.
