The ERIC Clearinghouse on Disabilities and Gifted Education
The ERIC Clearinghouse on Disabilities and Gifted Education (ERIC EC) provides access to professional literature, information, and resources on the education and development of individuals of all ages who have disabilities and/or who are gifted.

Equal Access to Software and Information
The EASI Web site is an excellent resource to learn more about using adaptive technology to empower students with disablities in mainstream, special classroom, and workplace environments. EASI includes live Webcast interviews, articles, and other resources.

NCIP - National Center to Improve Practice in Special Education
This is the Web site of The National Center to Improve Practice (NCIP), which promotes the use of technology for improved education for students with physical, mental and social disabilities.

PlaneMath is an outstanding site that teaches mathematics through a set of highly interactive lessons on aeronautics. The site is designed to encourage students with physical disabilities to consider careers in aeronautics but is useful to all classrooms for its outstanding lessons. (4-7+)

HELP Read freeware
A presentation of the Hawaiian Education Literacy Project, where you can download a free text reader to help students with disabilities learn to read. The text reader, which supports both English and Hawaiian, reads Web pages and text files, looks up definitions, and links to nearly 500 works of literature.

originator of the Picture Communication Symbols (PCS). The PCS is a set of 5000 picture symbols used for communication with nonverbal individuals. They also feature educational materials, books, and software that incorporate PCS.
