Hard to Re-Find Something on EdWorld

"I find that the interdisciplinary feel of this site makes it easy for teachers like me, just getting started, to come up with new and refreshing ideas that are not just 'read the text and do the work sheet.'

"I do find it hard at times to re-find something on your site. There have been many times I find a lesson plan that I think, "Wow, cool idea!" -- but I am not in a place to print it. When I go back, maybe the next week, I can't find the article or lesson plan.

"I do love the lesson plans … I use all sorts of ideas to help me keep the kids motivated."

Dear Mary,

Education World's search engine is in the process of a long-term upgrade, and the technology we're developing in this process will hopefully be the foundation for several tools that will make it much, much easier to find the content you need. However, even now, the search engine is much improved for finding EdWorld content. Go to the Search Engine and try it!

If we can make one more suggestion… When you find a lesson idea you like, you might jot down the title of that lesson. That way, you won't be relying totally on your memory of the lesson idea. (Especially if your memory is anything like ours!) That title will serve as the starting point for your later search-and-print mission. Just type the title into the search engine. Our newly improved search capabilities should enable you to track down that exact lesson with a simple click of the Search button.

For more information about the technological history and future plans of Education World, see our answer to the comment about color-coding our content.
