It remains the fastest growing site on the Internet and now the First Lady has joined the ranks of Pinterest enthusiasts. Michelle Obama recently launched a Pinterest page which currently features some candid pictures of the First Family from their years in the White House.
The page does say that the First Lady’s page is maintained by staff, however she will provide personal pins. Followers will be able to identify her pins because they will be signed “MO”. President Barack Obama also signs social media posts he personally writes using “BO”.
As teachers~ we are charged with continuously growing our talents. Our colleagues need it from us; our students expect it of us; our leaders know it is in us; and~ parents/society assume it of us! The National Association for Gifted Children has stated that the Common Core standards are not enough for gifted students.
In other words~ the Common Core provides students with the basic skills and thought process to be ready for college and the workplace~ but the standards were not specifically designed to challenge and provide differentiation for gifted children. I wholeheartedly agree.

The job of a substitute teacher is not an easy one. Subs have to be prepared to teach any subject in any classroom~ and to top it all off~ they have to learn loads of new names each time that they cover for a classroom teacher.
