Although burnout is common among both new and veteran teachers, key prevention tactics include keeping the classroom interesting and the student-teacher bond strong.
Posting on SmartBlogs.com, Montie Koehn, principal at Kennedy Elementary School in Norman, OK, said he has experienced burnout many times. In response to this common emotion, Koehn suggested eight expectations every teacher should have.
Examples of expectations include developing mutual respect among teachers, as well as laughing and fixing mistakes.
