Oregon officials have settled on a plan to evaluate teachers based partly on their students’ test scores. Oregon Schools Chief Rob Saxton says the plan, if fully adopted, will lead to big changes in the way all teachers in Oregon are judged. The deadline to convince the U.S. Department of Education was May 1, and Saxton told The Oregonian that he is “very certain the feds will approve it.”
