Social media is a great way to enhance communication and writing skills. Anyone can update a status or send out an inspirational or informative tweet. This is no less true in the classroom, where there are plenty of opportunities for students to grow as writers using social media.
So said Vicki Davis in "Ten Ways Social Media Has Reinvented Writing and Tips to Benefit Students," a guest post on Lisa Nielsen's The Innovative Educator blog.
"Notably, social media is impacting writing in the classroom in ten powerful ways," Davis said. "You don't have to be on social media (or even like it) to feel the lift social media concepts can give writing in your classroom."
