In education, some of the most meaningful insights come from honest conversations, the kind that aren’t scripted or edited for perfection. That’s exactly what inspired the creation of a new podcast, unEDited Chatter. It’s a space where educators, leaders, and lifelong learners come together to share experiences, explore ideas, and talk about the real challenges and triumphs that happen every day in schools and classrooms.
My name is Dr. Tisha Shipley, and my colleague, Dr. Stephanie Heald, and I are thrilled to introduce this new project to you. You may already know us from our previous podcast, Early Childhood Chatter, which we launched five years ago. That show quickly gained a loyal audience of educators who were eager to hear authentic stories from the field.
During Early Childhood Chatter, we were fortunate to welcome incredible guests such as R.L. Stine, the author of the beloved Goosebumps series; Patrick Carman, author of Skeleton Creek; Willie Spears, an acclaimed author, speaker, and coach; and Scarlett Lewis, educator and founder of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement, created in honor of her son who was tragically lost in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Each guest brought a new perspective, and each episode reminded us of the power of conversation in shaping educational thought and practice.
As time went on, we realized that our discussions about leadership, resilience, and learning reached far beyond early childhood education. That realization led to the creation of unEDited Chatter, a podcast designed to explore the broader world of education. From teacher wellness and innovation in classrooms to policy, leadership, and everything in between, we’re talking about it all, honestly, openly, and without filters.
Each unEDited Chatter episode runs just 10 to 15 minutes, making it perfect for busy educators. Whether you’re commuting, lesson planning, or taking a moment to recharge, we want you to leave each episode feeling inspired and supported. If you’ve ever felt isolated in your teaching journey, this podcast is your reminder that you’re not alone. Teachers need an outlet to hear the perspectives of other educators. We also need time to grow our own mindsets, learn from others, and share our stories and experiences. That’s one of the reasons we created unEDited Chatter, a space where educators can listen, reflect, and engage with real conversations happening in classrooms across the country. Each episode offers practical insights, inspiring ideas, and authentic discussions that remind teachers they are not alone in their work. By connecting with diverse voices and experiences, educators can gain new perspectives, strengthen their practice, and find encouragement in the challenges and triumphs of teaching.
Our mission is simple: to keep education real. No scripts, no edits, just authentic dialogue about what matters most in our schools today. If you have a passion or story to share, we’d love to have you join us as a guest on unEDited Chatter.
You can find us on Instagram, YouTube, and wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts. We can’t wait to share these conversations with you because the best insights in education often come from voices that are unEDited.
