Thanksgiving Peace and Prayers

  • It is with sincere best wishes that I offer to each of you at EducationWorld, my best wishes for a peaceful and joyful celebration at Thanksgiving. During this holiday, we are united in our praise, humbled by our accomplishments, thankful for our smallest gifts, and knitted together in our love for family and friends.
  • It is also in this holiday that we can rally behind those in need, those who have less than us, and those who have nothing. Pray for victims of weather, death, loss, and poor health. This is a time to perhaps start a new family tradition-feed a family in need, collect canned-goods for the food pantry, serve in a food kitchen, invite someone who has no table to your table, take a meal to a shut-in, visit with a widow, drop-in with cookies to say thank you to nurses, foodservice and other personnel at hospitals, police stations, and fire house, and rack leaves for someone who can't on Thanksgiving Day. It is a day to teach the next generation that thankfulness is also a verb if it is to change the world and be a living example of a thankful heart!

  • From my home in Williamsburg, Virginia to yours, celebrate all of the layers of Thanksgiving! Thank God we are educated enough to read, rich enough to own electronic devices, ambitious enough to work, free enough to help a neighbor, and well enough to say thank you in all circumstances! Happy Thanksgiving!
