REVIEW:
This is the Web site for the Department for Education and Employment in the United Kingdom. Users will find information for parents, schools, and educators. Viewers can find test results and education development plans. Information on the national curriculum is here. The site has press releases from the Department and specific information on various aspects of K-16 education in Britain. This is an extensive site. An interesting topic at the site is the "Education Action Zones" - mixed clusters of primary, secondary and special schools working together with parents, businesses, and others to raise standards. This is a great site for British educators. Others will find it interesting to look into another education system, and many will find ideas that could be incorporated into their own practices.
