Smithsonian National Zoological Park
Everything but the smells of the nearly 400 species at the National Zoo.

The Smithsonian National Zoological Park Website is the virtual National Zoo. It offers information, photographs, and live Webcams for many of the 2,000 animals of nearly 400 species that inhabit the zoo.

Lizards and Snakes: Alive
No puppy dog tails but plenty of squamates (yes, that's the word).
Grade Level: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12
This online exhibition explores the world of squamates (lizards and snakes) with video, sound and photographs. It is presented by the American Museum of Natural History in New York in conjunction with museums in Atlanta and San Diego and is a complement to the live exhibit in New York. .

Just like it says, silly!

Silly Books is a wonderfully fun and educational reading site for kids. It includes animated cartoons, comics, children's music, picture books, puzzles and games.

The Academy of Achievement Website features profiles of some of the worlds greatest thinkers and achievers who have shaped our world today. It includes photos, video and audio files.

Eyewitness: American Originals from the National Archives
A vibrant peek into America's past.

This interactive online exhibit is a complement to an exhibit at the National Archives. It allows visitors to explore extraordinary photographs and primary documents from the collections of the National Archives as they learn from firsthand accounts of historical events.
