CONTENT:
This WebQuest focuses on the question "Do the benefits [of ecotourism] outweigh the risks?"

AESTHETICS:
The background and graphics are in keeping with the rain forest theme.

ORGANIZATION:
This site delivers instructions for the WebQuest in a simple straightforward format. Navigation is easy, with all internal pages linked back to the home page.

REVIEW:
Have your students improve higher level thinking skills while they learn about the Ecuadorian rain forest and apply what they learn to solve a problem. This well-done WebQuest has resources galore for studying the rain forest. Students will do research, write reports and essays, and make posters as well as give oral presentations. A useful resource page for teachers includes background information, standards, guidelines for writing a paper and pro/con list, and suggestions for assessments, including rubrics. Also included is an extensive list of annotated Web sites for teachers and students, books for teachers and kids, videos, and references.
