REVIEW:
Most elementary teachers include Fire Prevention Week as part of the curriculum. This site provides background information about FPW, letters in English and Spanish to send home with students, key points for kids about smoke alarms and practicing fire escape plans, and lesson plans for grades K-6. Kids and families will find important safety information on developing and practicing fire escape plans, fun games in Sparky's Arcade, and other activities. For fire service workers, there are many materials -- such as how-to guides and fundraising tips -- for carrying out a successful Fire Prevention Week campaign.
