 Site Review: Nature.com

Site URL: Nature.com

Content: This is Nature magazine’s home on the Internet. Here users will find articles, videos, podcasts and other content related to the natural world.

NatureDesign: Nature.com looks like most professional content Web sites. The homepage features a dominant area for highly promoted stories, and secondary content boxes dot the remainder of the page. While it looks clean and professional, it comes across as a bit bland.

Review: The site is best summed up by two words: quality content. Scholarly articles, current news, scientific studies and more are solidly anchored in the study of nature.

One of the site’s best features is its breakdowns of various areas. While the topic of nature is broad, students can do specific research in the areas of Life Science, Chemistry or Physical Science.

Nature.com also makes tremendous use of podcasts. Visitors can access excellent content from reputable contributors via audio files.

Bottom Line:  No lesson plans here, but for academic content in the area of natural science, Nature.com is second-to-none.
