App Review: iAnnotate
Cost: $9.99
What does it promise? iAnnotate lets users read, mark up and share PDF, DOC, PPT and image files. Take notes on lecture slides, annotate documents, grade and revise papers and much more. To annotate, try tools such as the pen, highlighter, typewriter, stamp, note, underline, voice recording and more. Users can also create their own PDF documents with blank, lined or graph pages.
Does it deliver? iAnnotate is a sophisticated and organized tool that's perfect for educators. The intuitive interface offers a lot of room to make notes, underline and annotate pieces of work. The app responds well to human touch, whether it is double tap, slide, swipe or drag. The handwriting tool also comes with a zoom, so users' handwriting will look neat and organized.
Can I use it in the classroom? Absolutely. Teachers can mark up textbooks and lecture slides, grade papers, revise homework or other classwork and more. Students can highlight important notes in textbooks or assignments and learn how to annotate large documents. Teachers can also leave audio commentary on students' papers, homework and classwork.
