Call it a clean sweep for Apple, as the Cupertino-based tech firm took home all of the top spots, including Brand of the Year, in a recent Harris Interactive poll.
Apple was voted the best computer maker, while the company's iPad and iPhone were tops among tablets and mobile phones repectively. "Americans continue to give Apple brands strong ratings," Manny Flores, senior vice president at Harris Interactive, said in a statement to CNet. "And while their Consumer Connection scores are strong within their respective categories, what really stands out is that in all three of the categories Apple brands are measured -- computer, tablet, and mobile phone -- its Brand Momentum scores are in the top 30 of all 1,500 brands evaluated in the study, showing that consumers see this as a brand of the future."
It's no secret in the education world that gifted education training is not a priority for new teachers. In teacher preparation programs, if preservice teachers receive any kind of training, it's generally short discussions or readings in their existing education courses (Chamberlin and Chamberlin, 2010). According to the tradition, if the animal saw its...
One of the activities my students (pre-service teachers) said they appreciated the most was providing them with an array of discussion/sharing out strategies that they could use with their own elementary students. What I really shared were protocols, many I had learned from my own professors, which could be easily adopted for various lessons and content.
Many came from the National School Reform Faculty's web...
