I think this is a question many Educators are asking. Just when I think I have a handle on what I think 21st Century literacies are, it changes. A year ago I wouldn't have included Twittering in my list of communication skills, but over the past few months my use of this tool to connect to information and professional learning, has expanded. What's coming next?
Am I allowed to share more than one moment of learning each day? I sure hope so, because I can't resist posting Dr. Alec Couros' Grad Course trailer. How I wish I could be a fly on Alec Couros' EC&I 831: Social Media & Open Education (an open graduate course offered by the University of Regina) classroom wall. I often talk with my preservice teachers about starting a class (or learning focus) with a learning "hook". We talk about various ways to lure the learner into the learning equation. I'm thinking about the "what next?" part of Alec Couros' learning hook- I'm wondering what would happen in his class "after the movie trailer"...
