10 Great Math Apps for Students
Math may come easily to some students but be more challenging for others. Thanks to technology, there are plenty of resources to help students fine-tune their math skills, whether it is on a computer, tablet or smartphone.
Here are some great math apps to use in the classroom, or to suggest for student use outside of the classroom:
- StudyJams! : StudyJams is a fun way for students to learn basic algebra and scientific theory. The app provides high-quality videos, songs and karaoke to engage users.

- Marble Math: In this interactive game, users move a marble through various mazes while practicing a number of mathematical concepts and critical thinking skills.
- Algebra Touch: This app teaches and helps users practice and understand algebraic concepts. Users drag and rearrange single-variable polynomials and also draw lines and tap to simplify.
- Virtual Nerd Mobile Math: This app is a reference tool offering thousands of searchable video tutorials on math concepts from Pre-Algebra to Algebra II.
