A high school teacher in Detroit was fired for using a broom to break up a fight. 

A teacher at a high school in Detroit was fired Tuesday, May 6, 2014 after a video online showed her striking a student with a broom in order to break up a fight, according to USA Today. The video shows two male students fighting in a classroom, with screams heard in the background. The teacher is seen grabbing a broom and "repeadedly striking one of the boys."
