Teacher Blog Jam-Packed With Reading Ideas

100 Scope Notes offers reading suggestions, book reviews and other school-related book info, courtesy of an experienced educator who has been an elementary school librarian since 2005. (Though he shows a picture, he does not list his name).

The site is jam-packed with reviews and news, and it’s updated regularly. The author clearly knows children’s literature, but he also has a soft spot for it himself. It’s hard for adults – even experienced educators – to get into the minds of young readers, but 100 Scope Notes does exactly that. The blog has the depth of a multi-author website and offers a huge volume of archived but still-useful content.
