Standardized Test Debates Avoid Larger Issues in Education

As the battle rages on regarding which standardized test students should be taking, larger issues have been put on the back burner. 

So said Education Resources Consortium cofounder Larry Myatt, whose letter to The Boston Globe explained that "We should be discussing students' growing disinterest in learning. The standardization of information and testing continue to present a huge barrier to the kinds of passionate learning and innovative teaching parents seek for their children."
