Reading Rainbow's former Host LeVar Burton has succeeded in his fundraising campaign by reaching his $1 million goal in less than a day.
Burton and his team started a KickStarter campaign, hoping to get Reading Rainbow on the Internet and bring the program to low-income schools for free, according to USA Today.
The PBS show aired from 1983 to 2009 and has already launched an app.
"We can genuinely change the world, one children's book at a time," said Burton in a video on his KickStarter profile, according to NY Daily News. "Reading Rainbow is back for every child, everywhere."
