The OWL Aids Educators in Teaching Grammar

Teaching and assessing grammar can be tough, but Purdue University's OWL offers a number of resources to help teachers meet the challenge. 

A PowerPoint presentation covers ways to address grammar in the writing classroom, methods of marking grammatical errors on student papers, and grammar resources for students outside the classroom. 

Also find helpful tips for addressing common stereotypes of students who use bad grammar, and ways of emphasizing that grammar "isn't as important as expression." The PowerPoint also suggests lessons, tutorials and more.
