Fundraiser Supports Germ-Filtering Devices for Classrooms

Fundraiser Supports Germ-Filtering Devices for Classrooms

In Sugar Land, Texas, teachers are supporting the germ-killing invention Coughy Cup and the Cups4Kids Fundraiser to reduce missed school days resulting from sickness.

Coughy Cup inventor John Delatorre is turning to the Internet to raise funds that will support manufacturing of the cups for students.

Students can use the device for coughing, sneezing and dispensing tissues. The user coughs into the lid, and filtered air exits the bottomless cup, which--without the use of chemicals--traps more than 99 percent of bacteria.
