Constructivism is an approach to teaching based on research about how people learn. According to some researchers, individuals construct knowledge rather than accepting it from others.
Constructivists believe that students learn best through exploration and active learning. This teaching approach stresses hands-on materials instead of textbooks, and encouraging students to think and explain their reasoning instead of memorizing facts. Lessons focus on themes and concepts and the connections between them, rather than isolated information.
