EARLY CHILDHOOD NEWSLETTER

Volume 5, Issue 17
October 8, 2007

A WORD ABOUT THIS ISSUE'S THEME

Help children learn our scarecrow rhyme and the actions that appear in parentheses. For fun you may have children wear straw hats as they perform!

Silly Mr. Scarecrow
Standing all alone. (standing straight, arms at sides)
Will you make the crows (waving arms to scare off crows)
Leave the corn alone?

Scary Mr. Scarecrow
Fierce as you can be. (making scary faces)
You might scare away the crows
But you won't scare me! (saying the last line loud as they point to themselves)
