EdWorld Twitter Party: Tracking Student Success

Assessing student performance through data is crucial. But what core measures can help a district grasp the total picture and demonstrate early successes? Education World’s parent company EDmin, Inc. is sponsoring a Twitter party that will tackle a variety of topics including:

  • Selecting core indicators (interim measures)
  • Identifying causes for celebration and areas of concern
  • Changing adult behavior based on data
  • Deciding whether an instructional strategy “works”
  • Sharing data throughout the district

@ScheerSage – Sage Scheer, Ph.D, is Vice President of Strategic Sales for EDmin, the parent company of Education World. She was responsible for the national launch of as the INFORM® Learning System, a virtual education system. With more than 25 years experience in developing assessment practices for both K-12 and higher education, she is an expert on how to integrate cutting-edge, Web-based technology in the assessment process to improve the level of academic performance. Additionally, she has served on Boards of Education in both the public and private sector.

@RayFrohnhoefer – Ray Frohnhoefer is a Technical Consultant and Senior Program Manager for EDmin. He serves key client accounts and is an R&D program manager for dashboard and reporting products. He is currently working on EDmin’s Student Success Indicator Dashboard, a product that receives and digests millions of points of data so educators can focus on finding the right resource at the right time for students. Ray has also served as adjunct faculty for Project Management and Information Technology at three San Diego universities.
