Student Stars:
Good Citizens Stand Out

Share

We have a Student Stars party every six weeks to celebrate students who achieve. Included in that celebration is each class's Good Citizen -- a student who shows exemplary behavior in the classroom. The nice thing about the Good Citizen award is that the students who earn this recognition don't have to be making honor roll; they are showing their exceptionality in other ways. Each class's Good Citizen gets a special chair back cover for the entire six weeks, so any visitor to the classroom knows who the Good Citizen is. We also recognize the student from each class who shows exemplary lunchroom behavior. That student is rewarded with "Lunch With the Principal." We set a special table in the cafeteria and they eat lunch at the principal's table. That student is also included in our Student Stars party.
