Broadcast Your "Welcome Back to School" Message

Share

Have you fully alerted your entire school community to details about the new school year? In addition to the often-used method of including a reminder in the last report card in the spring, some principals are using the marquee in front of the school for that purpose. If possible, include the school's Web site link on the marquee message. When parents go to the Web site, they will find all the information they need. In addition to the opening day information, they will find details about required school supplies, bus routes and times, dates for open house, cost of student lunches and payment options, and other important reminders.

In addition, some principals are employing automated telephone systems that leave recorded messages at the homes of children of selected grade levels or all homes.

The more information about the opening days of a school that can be shared ahead of time, the smoother opening you can expect.
