Looking Forward To Monday Morning

Counting Down To Spring

Count the number of days until the start of Spring Break. On a roll of toilet paper, write the numbers in reverse order, one number to a square. When you have written the last number in the sequence, wind the squares back onto the roll. Make
a large sign saying Days Remaining Until Spring Break and hang the roll in the teachers' room or any other place in the
school where teachers tend to congregate. Tear off a square each day to reveal the number of days remaining before the break.

Here is an alternate idea, or one you might share with teachers so they and their students can keep track of the time remaining until spring begins. Cut construction paper into rectangular strips equal to the number of days until spring begins. Staple or glue together the strips into a chain. (You might clearly number the strips and arrange them in reverse order in your chain.) Drape the chain in a visible place. Each day, remove a link in the chain to reveal the number of days remaining until spring begins.

I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose-fitting clothing. If I had any loose-fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in the first place!
