Survival Kit

SURVIVAL KIT FOR EVERYDAY USE

Make a Survival Kit for each staff member by placing the "instructions" below in a plastic bag along with the items listed. Alternatively, you might from time to time drop one of these items and its message into faculty mailboxes.

  • Toothpick: To remind you to pick out the good qualities in others.
  • Rubber Band: To remind you to be flexible. Things might not always go the way you want, but they will work out.
  • Band-Aid: To remind you to heal hurt feelings, yours or someone else's.
  • Pencil:?To remind you to list your blessings every day. [content block]
  • Eraser:?To remind you that everyone makes mistakes, and it's OK!
  • Chewing Gum:?To remind you to stick with it and you can accomplish anything.
  • Mint:?To remind you that you are worth a mint.
  • Candy Kiss:?To remind you that everyone needs a kiss or hug every day.
  • Tea Bag:?To remind you to relax daily and go over that list of your blessings.

If you're looking for a good source of other fun staff incentives, you might check out the Positive Promotions Web site.

    QUOTE THIS!

A teacher is like a candle which lights others in consuming itself.

    GRIN AND SHARE IT

Little Debbie came running into the house after school shouting, "Daddy! Daddy! I got a 100 in school today!"

"That's great, honey," her proud father said. "Come into the living room and tell me about it."

"See my papers," she began. "I got a 53 in spelling and a 47 in math!"
