Site Review: EDPuzzle

Site URL:  https://edpuzzle.com/

Content:  With EDPuzzle, educators can select a video or create their own and customize it by editing, cropping or recording their own sound to fit a particular lesson. Teachers can also embed lessons and quizzes, grade students through an educational portal, and monitor class progress by collecting data.

Design:  The site is easy to navigate and seems to be monitored and updated frequently. Completing projects is simple with easy-to-find tools for recording voice memos and cropping and inserting quizzes.

Review:  Users will find many video options to use in the classroom. With sources such as YouTube, TED and National Geographic, educators will be able to select any video they desire. The cropping sequence is smooth, and users can easily pause videos and insert their own voice messages. Embed completed video lessons in other sites or Learning Management Systems (LMSs) such as Moodle and Blackboard.

Bottom Line:  EDPuzzle is a great resource for the flipped classroom, allowing teachers to create and present innovative lectures in a safe environment.
