Knowledge of typical and atypical development patters is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize appropriate demeanor, conduct and grooming when working with clients and staff including proper phone etiquette.
Must have conflict resolution skills.
Leadership skills to work effectively with staff, school administrators, and outside agencies in the delivery of special education services.
Ability to function in a total organizational context.
Ability to keep all student, parent and staff information confidential.
Ability to work in a site-based decision-making system that utilizes team and collaborative decision-making processes.
Ability and/or willingness to learn and utilize basic keyboarding computer skills.
Willingness to receive additional training to improve job skills.
