Description:
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with preference given to those in CIS or related area. Experience on a college campus or other educational setting preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with all segments of the College (alumni, faculty, staff, students, foundation members), with an emphasis on fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Alumni Association and promoting goodwill for the College. Ability to work as a team member and handle a wide-variety of responsibilities, as well as being flexible to change and working with a diverse group of volunteers. Strong knowledge of computers, and relational database systems in particular and ability to generate reports and work with complex computer data required. Position includes travel, attendance at special events and hours beyond the traditional workday. Preference given to FLC graduates and/or people who have attended or taken classes at Fort Lewis College.

Responsibilities: Maintaining all aspects of the alumni database, developing reports and refining computer procedures for maximum efficiency of alumni operation. Strong knowledge of computers, including computer programming is highly desirable. Assisting the dean in developing the alumni budget. Assisting the dean with maintaining and contacting all alumni chapter volunteers and developing and creating chapter programs. Supervising, hiring and training all hourly employees hired by the Alumni Association. Working with dean as liaison to the Alumni Executive Board of Directors and volunteers for alumni activities. Preparing grant proposals and special alumni funding projects. Maintaining accounting integrity of all alumni funds. Assisting dean in contacting key alumni donors for future cultivation of alumni projects. Assisting dean in preparing all alumni communication, such as the alumni newsletter. Assisting dean in implementing special events, such as Homecoming, Parents Weekend, August Alumni Gathering, chapter gatherings and other alumni programs. Working closely with dean and Alumni Executive Board of Directors in maintaining and improving stewardship and recognition programs. Working with dean and other campus offices in promoting alumni operations and activities.
Salary: Starting salary is $27,500 plus benefits.
