REVIEW:
The site provides an overview of the Siemens Youth Apprenticeship Program, including descriptions of a number of the student projects. Some of those projects are really outstanding, such as building electric cars and robots! Click on Current Projects to learn more. The program has different options and can be continued at the Community College level and end with a two- or even four-year degree. The apprentice students are required to do a six-week paid internship at the Siemans production facility. Each student rotates through several positions during his/her internship. The practical nature of this project is impressive and takes a big step toward creating a truly comprehensive vocational education program in the United States.
