REVIEW:
This Web site is part of the larger Arts & Entertainment (A&E) television network Web site. The larger site includes information on other programs shown on the network as well as a section specifically set up for educators. "A&E classroom" has a calendar, study guides and ideas from other teachers. This site, "Biography" is based on the program of the same name. Every evening another personality is featured in the one-hour, in-depth program and information obtained from those shows can be found here. The highlight of the Web site is the searchable database that gives users access to over 20,000 biographies. Users can either type in a name or search the list alphabetically. The number of responses as well as the amount of information contained in each biography varies. This is a great research tool
for students and teachers. It is also an excellent companion piece for current events, history and political science discussions and curriculum.
